N'HIM SYMPOSIUMS AND WORKSHOPS
SYMPOSIUM QUESTIONS
What is a N' Him Dance Ministry Symposium?
N' Him Dance Ministry Symposiums are a set of workshops that N' Him has put together to help dance/mime/step ministries of all experience levels. Our symposiums focus more on the ministry of the dance than on dance technique as we are in no way a professional dance team. Workshop titles from former symposiums include "Choreography Tips", "Interpretive Dance Ministry", "Six Types of Dance", "Flag Ministry", "Mime Moves", etc. Symposiums are usually Friday night and all day Saturday.
When is the next N' Him Dance Ministry Symposium?
N' Him Dance Ministry Symposiums are held on the even years (2004, 2006, 2008, etc). Our next symposium will be in Huntsville, AL in February, 2010.
How can my church or group host a N' Him Dance Ministry Symposium in our area?
You must be willing to interact closely with N' Him leadership to plan and coordinate the symposium. You must also locate and secure a large, gymnasium-type room that can hold 120 to 200 attendees along with three or more semi-large rooms for smaller workshop sessions. Hosting a symposium requires a team of at least 6 volunteers (but preferably 10 - 15 volunteers). If you have a valid interest in hosting a symposium, contact us at info@n-him.org.
WORKSHOP QUESTIONS
How can we get N' Him to come to our church or area and do a workshop?
N' Him does workshops per request and tailors each workshop to the needs of your group or church. We can do workshops that focus on starting a dance ministry, creating dances, dancewear, leadership, props, etc. We teach only what we know and openly share our experiences and lessons learned. In order to have N' Him do a workshop, we ask that you:
I'd like to attend one of your workshops. What do I do?
Our workshops are planned, coordinated, and hosted by churches and individuals that request our help. In order to attend a workshop, you must contact the host(s). If the contact info is not listed on our Upcoming Dance Dates page, you may e-mail us at info@n-him.org for information.
GENERAL N'HIM QUESTIONS
SCHEDULING QUESTIONS
What is N' Him's dance schedule?
Our dance schedule for solid, verified dates is available on our Upcoming Dance Dates page.
How can we get N'Him to minister in dance at our church or event?
N' Him willingly ministers in dance at any event or church based on our availability and the leading of the Holy Spirit. N' Him never charges to dance, but requests a donation from the host church or individual. In order to have N' Him minister at your event we ask that you:
CHOREOGRAPHY
Is it OK to do a N'Him dance at my church or function?
We teach and believe that God has gifted everyone in some way or another, and we encourage you to use your own gift as you create and present your own dances. N' Him's choreography is copyrighted and should only be done by N' Him. We do encourage you, however, to use our ideas and choreography as incentive to find creative and new ideas for your ministry.
